Where do the end? Where do they start?
There is a power given to charities to issue receipts so that a Canadian who donates money to them can claim it on his personal income tax as a charitable contribution which is a dollar for dollar reduction in his taxable income. (I presume)
I also presume that companies and foundations and other money-giving folks can claim a dollar for dollar reduction in their income by donating to these organizations.
A freedom of speech charity? GIve me a break.
Feed the poor, cure cancer, educate people, help people - ok
If you want to donate money to PEN, that’s ok with me but I don’t feel there is any more reason to deduct that from you taxable income then the twenty you stuck in the stripper’s g-strap.
Never mind the fact that I mostly agree with PEN.
