I saw “home-brew” e-mail server and knew immediately that it was bullshit. Someone needs to hire a tech on retainer to explain this stuff.

We really need this for politics and court cases as well as reporting. Imagine how the world would be if a tech geek was able to head off statements like “internet of tubes”. Or if a judge was able to consult a panel of impartial technical experts on what technical jargon means when presented with a dispute between tech companies.
