OT - but for those Lizards who follow international politics, it looks like Turkey’s AKP (Justice and Development Party) may have lost its majority, and the Kurdish HDP (People’s Democratic Party) might have crossed the 10% electoral threshold to take seats in the Parliament. That’s not only a first for the HDP, but it should be noted that the 10% electoral threshold is one of the highest around - most EU states have a 5% threshold.

In any event, it’s still quite early and the votes are still being counted, but this, no doubt, throws some cold water on Erdogan’s plans to create a strong presidential system - one that commentators have noted would make him as powerful as Russian President Vladimir Putin.
