There are a couple things about this situation that trouble me.

One is that outsiders injected themselves into a personal matter where they didn’t belong, simply to score cheap points for their bigoted agenda.

The other is how this might damage any future actual case where a muslim convert to another religion really might be in danger from an honor killing. It a “cry wolf” sort of situation in that the next time certain bloggers hype a story like this, and it’s true, it won’t be believed.
