It does, but the only way to stop it is by information. Wenchwrench posted a link that they’re going to make it a mandatory curriculum to teach civil rights in MS. I’m a bit shocked that it hasn’t been mandatory before, but I’m glad it is now. There will be a lot of backlash from the kids whose parents still hang on to their bigotry, but at least they’ll get the information.

The word I’m getting from my Mississippian neighbor is that MS is the first state to require the curriculum in every grade. Gov Barbour could have looked very good with that, instead of doing the Boss Hogg imitation. There has been vast progress here in AL, and a lot more to go.
