My record is 12/26. Tree was so dry it was a fire hazard!

Just took the dog for a walk and there was a tree out on the curb with it’s lights still intact…not plugged in though ;)

You know, think about the great price you can get on strings of lights right after Christmas. Darn near giving them away. Balance that against the time and effort to take the old ones off, try to roll them up, untangle them the next year. On a Cost / Benefit analysis basis it might actually be the smart play.
