I mean I look at this way. Schneider’s act may have been kinda funny in the late 90’s coming from a late 30’s some. He turns 50 at the end of the month(thanks wiki), no one wants to see a guy whose best days are way behind him in a silly comedy. Jim Carrey can get away with it because his classics like Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, were you know actually funny.

Carrey’s not just a character actor, he can actually do more roles than just zany slapstick. Schenider can never seem to play anything other than “fish out of water” roles.
