Had a conversation tonight. Was meeting a friend for a drink (in the middle of an ugly separation). Named a place, she said, “But, that’s a gay bar.” I said, “So? I’m not gay. I’m still allowed in the bar.”

She said, “But it’s a gay bar!”.

Thought it was safer that way. We didn’t meet.
