The truth is Thomas Jefferson thought Christians were loons for believing the Gospels as written. Virgin birth, ressurection, faith healing, yeah right. He didn’t mince words when he expressed contempt.

As for Calvinists, he compared their version of Christianity to “daemonism”. His quotes from 200+ years ago made this all crystal clear. It cracks me up when I hear someone try to say the founding fathers were all Christians. Not by a longshot.

As for a him supporting some sort of theocracy in the USA, thats beyond laughable. Only a supremely ignorant person would even try to peddle that nonsense.

I just don’t get it. How can you look at the Establishment Clause and not understand what it means?
