I was thinking the exact same thing in the shower this morning. I was reflecting on the video I just watched of him speaking about not releasing the photos and was thinking it has to be for political gain. But how? Maybe this is taking the heat of Blinky in some way.

He’s trying to have it both ways. The Circuit Court ruled that the Administration has to release these photos. The Administration can either appeal, or they must comply. They (He) can’t just decide to not release them. If he doesn’t appeal to the Supreme Court, and as far as I can see, that’s not in the works, then the photos will be released, but The One can be on record as having opposed their release.
