How the fuck does a Democratic candidate appeal to voters who regularly vote against their self-interests?

I seem to be having trouble communicating again (and apparently Mr. Wright is too).

a) We don’t.
b) For those who will listen, by appealing; for those who won’t, we don’t.
c) “It’s too hard is not an excuse.” All politics is local, and people can be reasoned with.
d) There will always be such voters. You appeal to the ones who can be reasoned with.
