I live in the People’s Republic of Maryland. I called my commie representative’s staffers and let them know how I felt. Business cards from political soirees come in handy every now and again.

I’m in Maryland too, and I also call my rep’s office to let the staff know what I want my rep to do, even though my rep is not just a Dem leftie - he’s the son of a Dem leftie retired senator. Alas. Sometimes, I call Roscoe Bartlett’s office just to talk to someone with a little sanity, even though that’s not my district. His staffers are much nicer than my rep’s staffers. And much righter. Also, I’ve met Rep. Bartlett, and he is a sharp cookie. If only we could clone him.
