So for what you said to be true, the police report had to be ongoing while he held the press conference. This is what you believe to be true?

The police report was issued today, while the incident was 2 days ago and the press conference was yesterday.
Furthermore, keep in mind that the Fox article quoted Cantor only as having stated that “a bullet was shot through the window” - the other stuff about his office having been targeted apparently did not come from Cantor, and instead came from some unknown and unattributed source.
