The simple act of voting for “the other guy” is more of a wrench than many people can stand. It’s a lot more comfortable to rest in the habits of vice.

We have to seek some sort of acknowledgment from those wishing to “undo” their vote for Trump that that vote was more than a simple mistake. Part of dealing with vices like racism, bigotry, resentment, and so forth is acknowledging that they hold sway over you. Else we get the ranks of those who scream “I’M NOT A RACIST” as they quietly nod along to Trump’s foul rants against minorities.
