I wonder what the carbon footprint is of printing 787 billion dollars. Granted, much of it may be distributed as little electronic 1s and 0s, but at some point some of it must turn into “real” money. That could be a lot of trees and inks wasted. I’m hoping Obama just prints a single $787 billion bill, like in the Simpsons episode with the trillion dollar bill. Then the democratic governors of various states can have death matches over it (before it’s stolen by Castro).
