Yes you did. I do believe the mind’s camera is the best. A regular camera couldn’t have captured it the way you saw it and the way your recall now sees it, and to have a photograph of it would never do justice to the memory.

I thought of your Goat Rock story when I was somewhat near your old stomping grounds early last month, but I was mainly in Mendocino. I had a fabulous and memorable time in spite of a sunburn caused by sheer mindlessness, and I hope to get back before another year goes by.
