re: #49 Ghost of Tom Joad
Just as a reference (I donāt want to stereotype) but I have some Greek Orthodox folks in my family through a few 2nd/3rd marriages, and theyāreā¦not exactly the most accepting people. Very jingoistic, donāt like foreigners, fairly racist etc. I really donāt know if thatās more of a norm or something. Just figured Iād share.
Youāre talking about Greek Orthodox. That differs from Greek Catholics which are Eastern Rite Catholics. Sorry to nitpick but wanted to clarify that Greek Catholic and Greek Orthodox are two different things. Not discounting your family experience in the slightest.to further expand on that, the biggest difference between Greek Catholics and Roman Catholics from what I understand is they allow priests to marry, cross themselves the opposite way, and they donāt celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December.
