Oh, and this report now claims that the program is being suspended because it met its $1 billion goal with nearly 250,000 vehicle rebates delivered. If that’s the case, then this program should end.

However - it is giving a boost to the down in the dumps auto industry. I say dump the rest of the stimulus (pay-to-play government insider money machine) and keep this thing going for a bit longer.
