I’m good at finding things, and here at least, a lot of people throw away perfectly usable items for whatever reasons. I guess I’m the Fred Sanford of Ostrava. I should open a business.

One word for a lot of items: Paint. You’d be surprised at what old wood furniture brings in when repainted (don’t bother w/the veneer/plastic crap, though). If anything has good bones, I can make it happen, even if a little upholstery is required. I’ve had the same dining room set for 35 yrs. Seats have been redone numerous times. When people come for dinner, a tablecloth comes out. I will never get rid of it and will pass it down. Made in Italy and the only really contemporary thing in my apt.
