re: #500 Sir John Barron
Meanwhile, I worked in the yard last weekend, discovered my back yard was mostly poison ivy. So I’ve spent all week scratching. Have applied a couple of lotions with varying degrees of relief. A week later I’m still scratching. Wondering when it goes away.
About week to 10 days later. Wash your sheets/covers and towels in hot water to get the oils off since that can persist. And if you’re out working, you can use either Tecmu or dish detergent like Dawn to wash off after possible exposure. It’s the equivalent to a chemical burn, so it’ll take some time before healing.
