I don’t know who George Will is. It was unclear where the post was made. ‘right-wing patriots’ who whine about ‘sending kids off to die’ in Afghanistan sound like Moby’s to me.

You can’t call every embarrassing person on the right a Moby. George Will is one of several conservative commentators who miraculously have reversed themselves on Afghanistan after literally years of being prowar. It is something that’s genuinely happening on the right at the moment and it’s sick.

It’s also not as if the left is free of hypocrisy either. Many of the people who screamed about the Patriot Act under Bush have gone all silent now that Obama’s elected, and they support Obama’s decisions and policies even when they’re continuations of Bush policies they hated. Same thing is happening on the right now with the war.
Anyway, I took the commentator to be referring to this phenomenon.
