That is weird. My grandmother baked a ton of bread and sold it for extra money. My mom still talks about ONE particular loaf she had baked and she could never recreate. My grandmother passed on in the 60’s.

I made Kolachke for the first time this year, from my great-grandma’s recipe. I was rather proud of myself. THEN my mom tells me that my recipe is the “easy” version, not the “real” version from her childhood (Bohemian immigrants). Grrrrrrrr.
