Hi realwest. Sorry, but I’m not ready to give up on you. Cancer tests came back, and don’t look good. Okay, that’s not great news.

But here’s the deal. My best friend out here was diagnosed back in the early 90’s, and told to put his affairs in order. His doc sent him to M.D. Anderson (I know I’ve mentioned this before).

He and I had drinks this evening at our local watering hole - The Cowboy.

No matter what it may seem to be today, if you have the guts (and from what I’ve seen you do), you and I will be having a cold one - albeit here in cyberspace - for many years to come.

I’m willing to bet on that.

I enjoyed your post. My doc is checking for something along those lines right now, that is, I’m waiting for lab results.
