The Mexican authorities are finally giving them a run for it though. They (cops) deserve a lot more support from us than they get.

We have to be pretty careful about how we support them. Too much of the Mexican public will still instinctively turn on any perceived as “Yankee Imperialism”. So we often support too little, rather than too much to prevent a PR backlash.
