One of the main reasons Islamists commit these kinds of atrocities is to provoke exactly this kind of blustery over-reaction in the west and get them to act horrible toward all Muslims. This creates recruitment opportunities for them.

The right wingers who are gleefully letting their hatred flow are doing exactly what the Islamists want them to do.

Since that also helps the rightwingers recruit as well. The two extremes live off of each other since the hates help each other grow.
