I am just wondering if the point is to stifle debate…the same thing that the ones using the hateful rhetoric claim is being done to them, via Sarah Palin.

If their objective is to frighten (Allen West saying “make the fellow afraid to leave his home”) then they are really trying to suppress the first amendment right they so passionately defend.
