Boycotting is a form of speech. It’s related to freedom of assembly. Just as much as Rush Limbaugh has a right to his expression people have a right to counter his speech with boycotts and organized opposition. No one is stopping Rush Limbaugh from expressing himself anymore than anyone is stopping people from boycotting his advertisers. It is in the end the free-market of ideas on both sides.

Of course Limbaugh went beyond simple freedom of expression and entered the world of libel, slander and defamation of character on the public airwaves. And yes, there once was a time when the public airwaves were considered to be in the public domain and subject to there input. This still works and beyond boycotts Rush Limbaugh is subject to protestation through established FCC laws.

Then take it to court. I’m not opposed to advertiser boycotts in principle but I think the method is way overused.
