What is this - a high school cafeteria? Like, the “cool kids” get to sit over here, and anyone new better keep their newby mouths shut?

Sigh…it isn’t any different than any other forum or comment based blog, older members with posts in the tens of thousands need to be treated with some small amount of difference even when they are having a “bad day” and are being a bit cranky.

The other members who recognize the regulars name and not yours see you as attacking “one of them,” it is normal human behavior. Normal “Net” etiquette and conventions say that you have to be at least slightly differential to those older members until you have at least three or four months of regular posting under your belt.

This is true everywhere, it isn’t “censorship” or a problem with the site, it is just long term posters sticking together and acting like, well, long term posters do…
