I don’t see this as a “separation of church and state” issue, as even if he were just driving to whatever church is nearest the Governor’s Mansion for his services, he’d still be using a State-owned car, have his security detail, etc. It does, however, seem like very wasteful spending of the taxpayers’ money (unless there is some legitimate reason for these visits). THAT’S the issue.
