When my grandkids were in a car wreck last year about this time, they had to life flight my grandson about 65 miles away to a trauma center. The cost for just that was 30K. Over 200K for all three kids’ injuries, two head injuries, a broken arm, grandson was in a medically induced coma for 36 hours, assorted bumps and bruises and the like. They were sent home after THREE days. Three days and close to a quarter million dollars. The attorneys and insurance companies, along with Medicaid are fighting it out still. It’s nuts.
