I’m being defensive because you’re being insane, and wildly misrepresenting what I said into some kind of crazy anti-tanning police state.

If you really believe your libertarian values require you to not even suggest to your sister-in-law that she might be hurting herself, or even *gasp* try to convince her she shouldn’t do it, then your philosophy is deeply inhuman and wrong.

At best, you’re confusing ‘trying to help people through advice’ with ‘forcefully imposing your will’.

Maybe we’re talking in circles. I’m not talking about tanning specifically, I’m talking about your philosophy in general. The added tax and thoughts of an underage ban is all about limiting activity the government deems unhealthy. Is that something you would agree is appropriate?
