The actor is Ian Richardson, and I have appropriated his likeness for his portrayal of fictional British Prime Minister Francis Urguhart (“F.U.”) in a masterful trio of miniseries which we Yanks were lucky enough to appropriate from the Beeb (I think).

House of Cards, To Play the King, The Final Cut. The books are good, and though the (subsequent) TV versions differ in some regards from the books, for me it is Richardson’s performance that “crowns” the whole thing.
