As mentioned in the earlier post we have used the imagry of voodoo to connotate something silly, something upheld by wishful thinking. Witch doctors / voodoo are images of irrationality. I’m sure believers of voodoo and of various traditional medicines would be more than a little upset by anyone calling their beliefs symbols of “irrationality.”

Nevertheless, as an athiest, I think they are. That doesn’t make me a racist. The poster evokes that Socialized Medicine is irrational. The problem with the poster is not the message, but that we are detracted from the message.

If the image of Obama with a bone in his nose is racist then a picture of Reagan in “caveman” garb was also racist.
