My father runs a law firm. And health coverage for his employees is a biiig expense for him. One of the companies I contract for would love to have full-time employees with coverage, but they just cannot make the numbers work.

I wish…where I was in an affluent area in MI, the competition for work was extreme…I used to just about stroke when my partner, the business side, wanted to talk to me about anything….huge amounts of money at stake and any mistakes could kill us…there was no margin for error just to stay in business…we just could not pass the cost down…I both loved and hated that racket, but you could lose your shirt in a heartbeat…I worked my ass off, did a million and a half in business annually, won awards, magazine articles, was in the top 1% and I never took more than about 50k a year out of it….way too much work and stress…trying to get my people covered was futile
