Again, what’s Plan B if the ongoing containment measures fail? When planning in a disaster scenario, I’ve found it’s always best to do so assuming an absolute worst case scenario. In this case, containment fails and COVID-19 becomes a year-round, endemic virus, with the same levels of contagion and CFR’s.
It goes without saying that the lockdown-style measures simply cannot be sustained for long; the economic damage from that might actually be worse than the epidemic itself.
