It contributes less than nothing. The snidey phrases, from whichever side, make it harder for us to work together for the common good; & the 2 party system is a splitting tool to alienate us from each other, so that the corrupt politicians can run the country as a private club for their own benefit. It sucks, and every 4 years it rises to a fever pitch.

I don’t think the two party system is the problem. It has its faults but it’s the way we treat the two party system and a tribal death match. It would be more helpful to think of it as being trapped in a room with one other person and the only way out is to cooperate.
