Mornin Kosh! That’s a fun read (as an old submariner). Sigh, the reporters, as usual, aren’t really good at Navy terminology.
Floor. Nope, it’s called a deck.
Ceiling. Nope, it’s called the overhead.
Sleeping quarters are “small rooms”. Nope, they’re compartments.
Beds - Nope, they’re called bunks.
Bathrooms. What? No way. They’re called heads.
I know, I’m being petty. But, hey, I was a petty officer, so it’s appropriate.
