If I said:
Pit bulls are unpredictable - for instance, they may appear to be friendly and then suddenly attack, unprovoked. This unpredictability is one reason why pit bulls are dangerous.

Would THAT also be “begging the question”, or have I sufficiently explained the unpredictability?

I have raised many a pit bull & I respectfully disagree.
