I think tanning oil will make you burn. Sun block should be in your future. Use a high SPF.

Always have, especially when I lived in Mexico and spent mucho tiempo en Acapulco. Somehow, I just short-circuited, thinking the oil would be OK and the GF and I were only in the sun for two hours. Epic fail on my part.
