They want the Blue Dogs in line. Apparently BHO thinks that they are ruining his presidency.

I was thinking about this during lunch.
They have started some very nasty ads here about Baucus being in the pocket of the insurance companies but it was Baucus who fought for the SChip policies during the Bush years. I mentioned to my boss that I haven’t seen this much nastiness in MT politics since they were trying to get rid of Conrad Burns. Found out that the money behind the Burns ads was Acorn $$. I know that Move On had money on it but did not know about the Acorn dollars (there just aren’t that many people here to benefit acorn)

I have a feeling that the new bloods (Chicago crowd) are trying to pull the rug out from under the heirarchy of Dems in DC. Get rid of the blue dogs, get rid of the ones who, although liberal are more centrist (Baucus) and know that they have to please the people who vote for them. They already pulled Joe Lieberman’s carpet out with Lamont Cranston (Lieberman won but he had to go ‘independent’ to do it.)

WHY are they tearing down their house and what do they hope to purchase in the end. This is a long hard fight. I think we are just beginning to see the skirmishes. Baucus will have a target on his back. Have a feeling I know who the new bloods will try to put up in his place - but I’ll wait and see.
