Given his previous actions? Which brilliant military moves where these? He’s been the worst CIC we’ve had in Years.

I think the point is that he took out Iraq, so he might have potentially taken out Iran. As a result, he gets credit for having gotten tough on Iran, even though he didn’t get tough on Iran.

Of course, this leaves out the fact that Iran busily amped up their nuclear program during the Bush administration, perhaps encouraged by the possibilities of gaining new influence following the demolition of their longtime crosstown rival by the United States Armed forces.

(Please note, none of this is meant as criticism of the Bush administration. Merely of knee-jerk political analysis.)
