A blanket prohibition is a pretty silly way to go about doing that. It’s very close to collective punishment. The citizenship isn’t granted automatically, so they could still review each case. I don’t see what they gain by saying it’s not available for any Palestinian married to an Israeli, no matter what.
What if that Palestinian runs an NGO promoting Israeli-Palestinian cooperation? Wouldn’t he/she make a good Israeli citizen?
