Hard to parent your kids when you have to hold down two jobs and work 60 hours a week because wages are so low.

I’m a late Gen Xer, from the early days of the latch key kids. It seems to me that a lot of Gen X didn’t get parented well since our parents were working so much in the 80s and 90s. This means, among other things, that we never learned how to parent well ourselves.
