It’s like a bunch of teenagers, when their parents not to do something (like smoke), who then make it a point to go out and do exactly that thing, in order to rebel against the parental figure.

Our Albert oil lizard chided me early this morning when I rebuked someone for encouraging running water for 20 or 30 minutes (just as a demonstration against environmentalism)… as if I didn’t get the humor of it. However, I took that (water running) poster at his word, that he really wanted to just run water for the sake of it, simply because I see so much of what people like Malkin are posting.

Right-winger = rebellious teenager. That is the idea I’m going with today.
