I’ve dealt with those types before. They can be the nicest, most charitable people you’ll ever meet, but it is all in service to their sense of piety.

They’ll give you the shirt off their back if they feel it serves their pious nature, but the moment you deviate the slightest bit from their righteous doctrine, they will retrieve that shirt by putting a knife in yours.

The most egregious offense of piety can be seen in those that deny their own children medical treatments that could save their lives. They have no other loyalty than their religion.
