re: #545 iceweasel

You’ve already been refuted, over and over. What is the point? Yet you STILL want to claim there was something weird or suspicious about ACORN’s involvement with the census, and the fact is there wasn’t.

They’re a sloppy organisation. They are no longer a census partner because of the Wingnut Freakout, no other reason. I really don’t understand the desire to turn them into the KGB or the Stasi or whatever— except as yet another manifestation of ODS.

Refuted? Hardly. You haven’t proven anything except your inability to read all of the information at the very links provided as I have already noted.

Additionally, you want to ascribe a wingnut freakout to my posting?

Hyperbole much?

You claim that they’re a sloppy organization, and yet there is a pile of evidence showing that much more.

And where do you get the KGB/stasi crapola? The organization’s various offices as shown in the video should be investigated - precisely because of the criminality and statements made therein. That’s not KGB tactics - but in the province of lawful law enforcement.

There are few here who take as thoughtful positions and isn’t one to rush to judge on facts and circumstances. Calling for an investigation into the actions depicted on those videos isn’t a rush to judgment. Calling for an investigation to see just how widespread the problem is isn’t a rush to judgment.

Wanting to see the census bureau have no relationship with organizations with troubled backgrounds is a completely sensible and absolutely crucial to maintaining the nonpartisan and trustworthiness of the census.

Nor are such calls the acts of a stasi or kgb.

So, tone down your damned hyperbole and stick to the facts. The videos speak for themselves.
