OT: We finally had to put Lacey (our 11 year old Lab/Retriever mix) to sleep yesterday. She had fought the cancer for two months, but had quit eating the last couple of days and then couldn’t get up.

It’s never easy, but it was quick and peaceful for her. My wife is heartbroken, but is better this morning. Gomer (our chocolate rescue Lab) is confused and keeps looking for his friend.

She was a good dog and member of our family and will be missed. I’m sure we’ll have another rescue Lab by the end of the week. (as I type this my wife emails me about it)
