Well, they’ve only been doing it since 2000, but it’s a pretty big deal for all kinds of designers (fashion, interior, graphic, etc.)—big enough to get mentioned in the New York Times. The closest they’ve ever come to Khaki was in 2006 with a color dubbed Sand Dollar, which looks more pinkish-beige to my eye.

Trivia: Did you know that khaki is actually a Persian word? It means dirt, soil, earth, ground, etc. which is exactly what it looks like (depending on where you live, I suppose). Here it is in Google Translate.
