Here is some raw footage at the Harlem gas explosion.

My question is: How did so many get out alive? There are still 12-15 people missing, from what I’ve read, and 2 deaths so far.

There was about a 15 minute gap from when the smell of gas was reported to Coned and the explosion. I will go out on a limb and say they started to self evacuate prior to the explosion. And the last report I heard was that there were 9 missing people.
