I hope this prompts an investigation into who is allowed to conduct Muslim prison ministries. Obviously you can’t exclude Muslims entirely, and you shouldn’t. But you also shouldn’t allow Imams preaching jihad in there any more than you should have white supremacists spreading hate.

I have read a few articles about Islam in American prisons. Unfortunately none recently, or I’d provide a link.

Apparently, responsibility for vetting and training all of the Islamic chaplains in the entire American prison system has been contracted out to some radical Saudi Wahabist group that advocates murdering nonbelievers, beating women into submission, and all the other charming behavior that we’ve come to expect from our friends the Saudis.

Is that a good idea?
